The Fine Art Frame is handcrafted in Ottawa from sustainably sourced hardwood — available in walnut, maple, white oak, purpleheart and cherry. Each frame is finished with Osmo matte hardwax oil for a natural, low-sheen surface that protects the wood without obscuring its character.

The corner inlay.
Every frame is joined with a structural maple inlay running along the length of the grain — not decorative, functional. It locks the mitre joint under tension, preventing the seasonal wood movement that causes cheaper frames to gap, crack, or fail over time. These frames don't loosen. They don't separate. They're built to be passed down.

  • Anti-glare, anti-yellowing acrylic glazing (safer than glass, won't shatter, won't yellow your art over decades)

The wood: finished with Osmo matte hardwax oil — penetrating, durable, and designed to deepen with age. Dust occasionally with a soft dry cloth. Avoid sustained direct sunlight to preserve the natural wood colour.

The acrylic glazing: your frame uses anti-glare, anti-yellowing acrylic rather than glass — safer, lighter, and better for your art long-term.

  • Clean with a soft microfibre cloth and water or a plastic-safe cleaner
  • Never use Windex or anything ammonia-based — it will permanently cloud the surface
  • Never use paper towels — they scratch acrylic
